The life of a truck driver is unique and not for everyone. Many of us spend 4 to 6 weeks at a time away from home and family. We run strict schedules and regulations force us to work, at times, when we are not at our best.
Among the many issues we face every day, the three major Truck Stops, now calling themselves Travel Centers, have abandoned service and concentrate on profits. Pilot/Flying J, Petro/T.A. and Love's Are the three major travel center chains available to truckers.
These companies and many of the smaller independent centers have eliminated restaurants in favor of fast food. Fast food is more profitable and they can get more travelers in and out quickly, but the food is not healthy. Among the favorite fast food franchises are;
